Department Manager
Susanna Wiseman is an experienced attorney focusing on business litigation, real property claims, construction matters, and employment claims.
Ms. Wiseman has been practicing law since 2011. Ms. Wiseman has followed a single guiding philosophy which has made her popular with her clients and served her well through resolution of claims – “Know the facts, finish the case.” Clients, particularly business clients, have no interest in esoteric billing exercises with attorneys who cannot negotiate a deal or are incapable of taking a case through trial if the deal falls through. Instead, they need someone who understands their business, understands what happened, and can finish the case. Ms. Wiseman honed this approach with a background handling caseloads of hundreds of matters simultaneously, including extensive personal injury matters, insurance claims, and product defect issues. These claims live and die with particular facts, extensive and tough negotiations, and an ability to wrap things up without shying away from the other side’s bluff. At Madison Law, Ms. Wiseman handles fewer cases in more detail, and her clients appreciate counsel who knows their business as well as they do and help them get matters resolved efficiently and effectively.
Prior to practice, Ms. Wiseman completed her undergraduate studies at Hawaii Pacific University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics and graduated in the top 10% of her class. Subsequently, Ms. Wiseman attended Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where she was an active member of the Women’s Law Association and participated in numerous pro bono programs including working with disabled military veterans. Ms. Wiseman earned her Juris Doctor in 2011.
Ms. Wiseman is admitted to practice before the California Supreme Court; the United States District Court for the Central, Northern, Southern, and Eastern Districts of California; the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit; and the Hawaii Supreme Court.
