Maiya Dempsey joined the Madison Law, APC team in 2019.  Ms. Dempsey’s practice focuses on appellate law, business litigation, and civil rights litigation.

Ms. Dempsey earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication from Boston University in 2014.  Subsequently, Ms. Dempsey received her legal education from Whittier Law School, where she served as Executive Editor for the Whittier Law Review, as well as Article Editor for the Whittier Law School Journal of Child and Family Advocacy.  Ms. Dempsey wrote an article addressing social media and the First Amendment rights of public high school students that earned top honors and is published in the Whittier Law School Journal of Child and Family Advocacy.  Ms. Dempsey earned her Juris Doctorate and graduated cum laude in 2018.

Ms. Dempsey is admitted to practice before the California Supreme Court.

Ms. Dempsey previously held a position as a judicial extern for the Honorable Richard F. Suhrheinrich in the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.  Ms. Dempsey is passionate about community service and currently serves as a local Girl Scout leader.
